The NT555 is a summer-oriented performance street tire designed with the performance driver in mind, but who also wants a long wearing tire. With one of the largest contact patches available, the NT555 provides superior traction and reliable handling - without sacrificing tread life. Both the tread pattern and the compound were optimized for dry performance. The highly rigid tread blocks provide stability while prolonging tire life. The NT555 will get you off the line quicker in the straights and provide confidence in the corners.

The NT555RII is a D.O.T.-compliant road race competition radial designed with the muscle car racer in mind. Using the same computer-designed tread pattern as the 555R, the 555RII has been thoroughly updated to handle the task of road racing. Construction modifications were made to improve cornering feedback, controllability and stability. The tire comes molded at 6/32 of an inch to reduce tread flex.

The 555RII is recommended for competition use. We have used this tire for dual purpose street/track driving, cold performance is poor, but if you do a lot of track use, and very little street use, this may be great for you. This tire does work well on the street when warmed up.
